PLEASE NOTE: All faxed and emailed registrations need to be turned in no later than 3:00 PM on Thursday. You can pay at registration.


If you have not registered before the start of each racer meeting on race day, you will NOT be allowed to race that day.

If we finish classes on Saturday - AWARDS will be held on the Pass a couple hours after the King of the Hill runs. The same thing goes for Sunday if we have to use it as a weather day.

The 2013 Hill Climb was a great success! Thanks to all the volunteers and climbers that made this year’s event great! 2013 Valdez Mountain Man Hill Climb results are currently posted on our Facebook Page.

Location still be scouted out along the RICHARDSON HIGHWAY


Race time: 11 am each morning

Racer Meeting: 10:45 am each morning

(We will be announcing if these times change due to weather or number of entries)

ALL LATE ENTRIES MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO THE RACER

S MEETING THAT DAY TO BE ELIGIBLE TO RACE IN THAT DAY’S CLASSES.


Class order – SUBJECT TO CHANGE!

Stock 600, 700, 800, 1000  & Trophy 0-700, 800-open

Improved Stock 600, 700, 800, 1000  & Trophy 0-700, 800-open

Modified 600, 700, 800, 1500  & Trophy 0-700, 800-open


The Masters, Women & Junior Classes depending on # of entrants: Time will be announced


Each class will get two runs at the hill.  We will finish each class then move on to the next.  Each class will be a timed event.  In the lower cc classes if no one makes the timing gates – we will determine the winner with high mark.  Our hill bosses will make the call on high marks. 

The hill crew is responsible for accurately marking sleds and watching for missed gates.  Video taping during the event is for spectator and vendor entertainment only, and WILL NOT be used to overturn a decision made by the hill crew. ALL RACERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR AN AVALANCHE BEACON WHILE ON THE HILL.


Racers

At the end of each run you will be required to return to the HOT PIT until the end of the class.  No one will be allowed to return to the roadside in the middle of the class.

If you fail to return to the hot pit you will be disqualified for that class.


RACER’S MEETINGS MAY ADDRESS OTHER ISSUES THAT MAY ARISE- BE THERE!




Rules

Pre-Race checklist:

  1. 1.NO alcohol in the pits. Racer will be DQ’d

  2. 2.Bib number - Each racer will have their number clearly visible on the back of their torso.

  3. 3.Operational tether switch and cord.

  4. 4.Functional and operational safety shutoff (kill) switch is required.

  5. 5.Hood secured.

  6. 6.Snow flap must be present and securely attached to the tunnel.

  7. 7.Ski-loop must meet ISR criteria.

  8. 8.Safety gear - DOT/Snell approved helmet. Eye protection (goggles or shied), shin/knee guards, upper  body protection – Tek-Vest or approved equivalent (no plastic MX roost protectors).

    The race will follow ISR Rules and Regulations: General Competition Rules, Verification  & Control, Driver Protective Equipment
